SUPER MASSIVE - FREE AUSTRALIA DAY FESTIVAL SHOW AT THE ROCKS

Named by MX Magazine as one of Sydney's best emerging electronic/dance/rock bands, Super Massive will be bringing their dynamic, high energy electro rock to the huge Australia Day music festival down at The Rocks on Tuesday 26th January, performing on the Parksong Stage in First Fleet Park at 4:15pm, with Zennith Brothers on directly before, and King Tide and Bertie Blackman on directly after. The set will include a couple of brand new songs, and the band will be joined for this show by special guest keyboardist/soundscaper 3K Short from MGF. Entry to the event is free.

Super Massive have been busy in the studio recording a new single and shooting a film clip due for release in March/April; a follow up to the band's self-titled debut EP.

Super Massive perform a free live show for electro/dance/rock lovers in Port Macquarie area

Award-winning, upcoming Sydney alterna-pop/electro/funk/rock band Super Massive will be touring the Port Macquarie area for the first time next weekend, bringing their funky, uptempo show to the Laurieton Hotel on Saturday 23rd May.

Entertainment starts at 8:30pm and entry is FREE.

Super Massive is a creative band, lovingly crafting evocative pop songs with their own unique blend of multi-layered synthscapes and live instrumentation.

The shared musical vision of singer/songwriter Malina Hamilton-Smith and drummer/composer Glenn Abbott (best known for his work with Machine Gun Fellatio), Super Massive was awarded ‘Best Alternative Artist” at the MusicOz Awards (Australia's premier national music awards for unsigned and independent artists), and released a self-titled debut EP through MGM and iTunes to rave reviews mid last year.

The night showcases three of Sydney's best up and coming electronic/dance rock bands. With all bands on the bill sharing a love of deep rhythm, shimmering synths, poetic pop, not to mention lights and lasers, it's set to be a spectacular, shimmy-shakin' night, if not an outright dancing frenzy, if both Super Massive and Yen's previous shows are anything to go by.

MusicOz Award nominees Super Massive bring their creative and visceral electro/rock/alternative pop music to the Mona Vale Hotel on Saturday November 24th.

Sydney band Super Massive are currently nominees for a 2007 MusicOz Award: An impressive achievement considering that the band has not yet released a single CD, nor had a scrap of airplay.

Super Massive is the creative partnership of singer/writer Malina Hamilton-Smith and drummer/composer Glenn Abbott, best known for his work with popular Australian band Machine Gun Fellatio.

The two found a mutual interest in aiming to create the perfect symbiosis of multi-layered synthscapes and the visceral impact of a full rock band.
