A SHIMMY SHAKIN' NIGHT OF LIVE ELECTRO/DANCE-POP WITH SUPER MASSIVE & YEN
Award winning Sydney dance/rock band Super Massive team with fellow electro-funksters Yen for a very special night of electro/dance-pop at the Excelsior Hotel Surry Hills on Saturday 7th March. Newcomers Life Bitter Soul support.
The night showcases three of Sydney's best up and coming electronic/dance rock bands. With all bands on the bill sharing a love of deep rhythm, shimmering synths, poetic pop, not to mention lights and lasers, it's set to be a spectacular, shimmy-shakin' night, if not an outright dancing frenzy, if both Super Massive and Yen's previous shows are anything to go by.
The show is at the Excelsior Hotel, 64 Foveaux St, Surry Hills. The night starts at 8pm. Tickets are $10- at the door.

This Saturday 11th October at the Empire Hotel Annandale, Sydney band Super Massive will be headlining a trio of bands that fearlessly deliver performances of extroverted theatricality, whilst exploring their own different blends of electro/pop/rock.
The event will be happening at the Empire Hotel, Cnr Parramatta Rd & Johnston St Annandale. Entertainment begins at 9pm. Entry is $10.
Super Massive take dance rock/pop to new heights with the funkiest live rhythm section in town and powerful songs of recklessness, love and reckless love, guaranteed to make you want to hit the dancefloor.
Led by dynamic frontwoman Malina, whose vocals and stage presence have been compared to Peaches, Shirley Manson and Siouxsie Sioux, and described as 'Kylie's porno double', Super Massive are an underground force to be reckoned with.

After a killer first show to Newcastle audiences back in January, award-winning alterna-pop/electro/rock band Super Massive return to play a second show at the Cambridge Hotel this coming Wednesday 9th April. Doors open 9:30pm, and in the tradition of Wednesdays at the Glasshouse, entry is free and drinks are cheap. MusicOz Award nominees Super Massive bring their creative and visceral electro/rock/alternative pop music to the Mona Vale Hotel on Saturday November 24th.
Sydney band Super Massive are currently nominees for a 2007 MusicOz Award: An impressive achievement considering that the band has not yet released a single CD, nor had a scrap of airplay.
Super Massive is the creative partnership of singer/writer Malina Hamilton-Smith and drummer/composer Glenn Abbott, best known for his work with popular Australian band Machine Gun Fellatio.
The two found a mutual interest in aiming to create the perfect symbiosis of multi-layered synthscapes and the visceral impact of a full rock band.

Light and shade. Electro rock band Super Massive support industrial strength vixen Mz Ann Thropik. Super Massive support Mz Ann Thropik at the Annandale Hotel, Thursday 29th March. She's got loads of fans who all seem to be in love with her in that PJ Harvey kind of way and she looks rather magnetic in her pics, so we're looking forward to checking it out too. We'll be pulling out the old Alice Cooper cover, and playing our heavier stuff. (Heavy disco that is) Can't wait!
LoveShark's on guitar again which is awesome, coz who does dirty loud rock guitar like the Shark?
We are on second spot. 9pm - 9:40pm. Other bands on are The Black Royale (progressive, psychobilly - on 1st) and Marlow (Heavy rock - on after us). It's $10 entry.
