PixelPress' intent is to encourage documentary photographers, writers, filmmakers, artists, human rights workers and students to explore the world in ways that take advantage of the new possibilities provided by digital media. They seek a new paradigm of journalism, one that encourages an active dialogue between the author and reader and, also, the subject.

Himal Magazine

Himal Southasian is published and distributed by The Southasia Trust, Lalitpur, Nepal

Himal Southasian is Southasia's first and only regional magazine. Stretching from Afghanistan to Burma, from Tibet to the Maldives, this region of more than 1.4 billion people shares great swathes of interlocking geography, culture and history. Yet today neighbouring countries can barely talk to one another, much less speak in a common voice. For two decades, Himal Southasian has strived to nurture, define and amplify that voice.

Perilous online archive of articles

Perilous is an archive of the fortnightly column from 3D World magazine written by Seb Chan from Sub Bass Snarl.

The column started in 1992/3 and the site has articles up until 2004 so is a great collection, documentation and snapshot in time of the Sydney and Australian electronic music & hip hop community, gigs and artists

Sleepy Brain

Sleepy Brain was an online magazine created by Simon Sellars, a freelance writer and editor. Hess also the founder of the Liquid Architecture festival of sound art; of Subterrain, a magazine of writings about homelessness; and of Ballardian, a website recording the career and influence of the novelist J.G. Ballard. For the past three years Simon has been performing extensive work for Lonely Planet Publications, including a notable stint in the Micronesian region. On the 25 March 1996 Noise Gate organised a Festival of Experimental Music at the Lescar,Sharrow Vale, Sheffield. Datacide

A new magazine for the grey zone of Noise & Politics, Datacide provides information on the cutting edge of technological subversion via sound and ideas. Assembled as part of an emerging Post-Media flow, Datacide is fueled by a current of enthusiasm and desire that does not seek legitimiation through the usual channels, but works as a tool to prompt the inquisitive and those becoming increasingly tired of the expediencies of journalism and self-interest.
