Real war vibes!
The first international sound clash in this country sees Australia buck up against New Zealand as Sydney's FIREHOUSE meets Auckland's JAFA MAFIA at The Marquee.
The Jafa Mafia is an Auckland sound system established in 2003 by DJs Tobi and Captain Midnite.
From their 95bfm.co.nz radio show 'Thunder & Joy' the pair found a shared passion for 'proper' bashment reggae and mad dancehall.
Tobi is NZ born and London raised, originates from the London free party/rave and nightclub scene having played most contemporary genres of dance music now focusing on dancehall, dubstep/grime and jungle.
Selector Midnite hails from Hungary and developed his love of Jamaican music whilst living in Rome checking One Love HP weekly.
The Mafia includes Flowzion and Tuff Enchant taking up the mic.
Having warmed up last year alongside Kyabamba Sound (Swiss) and Worries Outernational Sound (Ireland), the Jafas are ready to test the mighty Firehouse inna proper clash fashion.

ABC Newcastle Music Awards,
along with Marrissa Saroca who will feature on vocals.
SUNSPLASH - are a band who have been put together and taught by Afro Moses -
cool reggae mixed with Afrobeats
24DRUMMERS - are a percussion group who have been taught by Afro Moses and
Geoff McLennan - performing some
hot West African beats

Afro Moses has recently been focusing on teaching, composing music for
Australian films - including a nomination at the
APRA Awards this month, and will also be headlining the four day Peats Ridge
Festival for New Years Eve with his original
12 piece band Moses O'Jah. He will then be travelling to West Africa,
Europe, Canada and the USA, before returning back to Australia
in April to be part of some major festivals.
Amanda Jubb from Life Church, kindly offered to host a fundraiser on behalf
of Afro Moses to assist him in getting to Ghana,
West Africa to be part of an HIV Charity Concert being organised by Goodies
Productions in West Africa. Life Church has
a motto of "Mind, Body and Soul". Church is only one part of the many things
they do - it's all about life! The life team supply
up to 700 meals to homeless people, run support programs such as Alcoholics
Anonymous and Marriage Counselling, and
much more.
