UK SOUND MAESTRO David Toop remains one of the most influential musicians and writers currently producing work in the UK. As an author of books such as Exotica, Haunted Weather and Rap Attack, Toop has literally defined and redefined the understanding of the musical forms he addresses. As a musician, Toop's work brings together an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of under-recognised musical approaches – from contemporary improvisational techniques to varied and unusual ethnic musics, peppered with a deep understanding of electronics and the use of natural acoustic recordings. David Toop promises to create an unusually detailed and textured sonic experience - an aural experience the likes of which few musicians today can evoke.
