Extravaganza!!

Boston based Keith Fullerton Whitman returns to Melbourne to perform
under two of his numerous pseudonyms – Keith Fullerton Whitman
(Kranky) and Hrvatski.

Keith will perform two sets over one show at Northcote Social Club,
on Thursday 27th April.

The first set will be under the Keith Fullerton Whitman moniker, his
Kranky-based solo guitar with electronics project. The second will
be as legendary laptop composer, and sometime Greg Davis/Kid 606
sidekick, Hrvatski – his joyful/nutso/crazy hyper-programmed
slice'n'dice laptop project.

Keith Fullerton Whitman is clearly one of the hardest working people
on the planet. It's impossible to list the artists he has
collaborated with/remixed. In addition to his work as a producer,
Keith is also a lecturer at Harvard University, and runs his own
Boston based record label, "Reckankreuzungsklankewerkzeuge".

An artist with a severe case of sonic schizophrenia, Keith has
described himself as being enamoured of "hyper-programmed rhythms &
concrete sounds, bleeding freakout guitar, Beach Boys-style sweet
harmony, eastern euro-prog, vintage synth burbles, classic-era
minimalism, early mainframe computer music, fluxus-lineage
borderline nonsense, complete and utter chaos, doomy chamber pop,
and quiet melancholy."

His 2005 release "Multiples" (Kranky), made Pitchfork Media's top 50
albums of the year. 2006 will see Keith release two EPs over March
and April - "Recorded in Lisbon" EP (Kranky), and "Track4
(2waybidirectional)" (Room40).

Support will be the long awaited return of ROBIN FOX'S LASER
EXTRAVAGANZA. For those of you who missed the recent mindblower at
the Spanish Club, here's your chance to experience this audio-visual
genius' insane & incredible project!
