PLEASE PASS ONTO ARTISTS ATTENDING THIS IS NOT ART 2003
****************************************************************************

The October long weekend and This Is Not Art (TINA) is fast approaching us,
and it will all be happening in Newcastle from 2-6 October 2003.

Combining Electrofringe, Sound Summit, National Young Writers, Radio Active,
Student Media and Critical Animals, the event will bring together Australia's
key arts, music and new media figures and international guests for 5 days of
panels, workshops and live gigs.

This year, there will be an official TINA shop, where product from artists
and associated speakers will be available to purchase.

If you are interested in having your product sold at the TINA Shop - please
email Tim Colman at shop@thisisnotart.org for more details.

Please read the following points carefully - they should answer a lot of your
questions.

Shop FAQs

The TINA Shop Manager is Tim Colman. All enquiry's should be sent to him at
shop@thisisnotart.org.

The shop will be located at Shop 1/403 Hunter Street, Newcastle.

The shop will be open from Thursday 2nd October - Sunday 5th October. Hours
will be between 12-6, (approx.).

The shop will stock CDs, DVDs, CD ROMs, Vinyl, Zines, Books and clothing (no
food!). However, if there is something else that you would like to sell,
contact Tim.

The shop is for saleable items only. If you have demo CDs, stickers etc -
give them out at the festival - this is the best way to let people know about
your work!

All stock is sold on a consignment basis. You will be paid for each unit
sold, and all remaining stock will be returned.

For stock sold - you will be paid by cheque upon collection.

Please think about how much stock you would like to provide. Remember that
the shop is only open for three days and customers aren't coming to the
festival to shop. If you are unsure about quantity's, please speak to Tim.

For accounting purposes, you must be able to provide an ABN. If you do not
have an ABN, you can download a 'Hobbyist' taxation form from the TINA
website http://138.25.162.211/tina/form/.

Stock can be sent to the shop prior to the event or can be brought in during
the festival. You must contact Tim before sending any stock.

Pricing: TINA will add a 20% mark up plus GST on the cost price provided.
(Remember, TINA is a not for profit organisation, this mark up is to cover
store costs only).

The cost price you provide is up to you - but remember, people that make the
trip to Newcastle don't often have a lot of spare change. Don't overprice
your product!

This is a cash only shop - no EFTPOS or Credit facilities will be available.

All stock must be collected from the store by Monday 6th October. If you need
to arrange alternative collection, please speak with Tim prior to the event.

ANY product not collected by MONDAY 3PM will be forfeited to TINA.

No artwork will be displayed in the store - so don't ask. But promotional
posters are welcome - on a first come first serve basis!

Cheers
