    <content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Please find below the call for applications for Time_Place_Space 3, an<br />
initiative of the New Media Arts Board of the Australia Council.<br />
Time_Place_Space aims to foster and strengthen inter-disciplinary art, with<br />
an emphasis on performance. The intensive two-week laboratory will take<br />
place in Adelaide, 4-17 July, 2004. The initiative is open to all Australian<br />
artists with an ongoing interest in hybrid art forms.</p>
<p>Applications close on November 28, and we encourage interested parties to<br />
apply.</p>

<p>Applications are being invited from Australian artists working across<br />
disciplines, cultures, and/or mediums to participate in Time_Place_Space 3.<br />
This will be the third intensive laboratory as part of Time_Place_Space, a<br />
national initiative that aims to challenge, invigorate and strengthen the<br />
areas of hybrid arts practice in Australia, with an emphasis on performance.</p>
<p>The workshop will be facilitated by national and international<br />
practitioners, including Marianne Weems (Director of The Builders<br />
Association, New York) and Clare Grant (Sydney-based performer, director and<br />
dramaturg). The workshop is open for up to twenty artists from diverse<br />
cultural, geographic and art form backgrounds. Participants in previous<br />
Time_Place_Space laboratories are welcome to apply.</p>
<p>Registration: $900 (full), $500 (concession).<br />
Some travel assistance may be available to artists who can demonstrate<br />
financial need. For details please contact the Project Manager.</p>
<p>Eligibility:<br />
* The workshop is open to Australian artists working across media and<br />
disciplines.</p>
<p>Selection Criteria:<br />
* Demonstrated ability and interest in working collaboratively and<br />
sympathetically with artists from diverse backgrounds and practices;<br />
* Demonstrated interest/experience in hybrid performance making;<br />
* Ability to analyse your practice.</p>
<p>Applications must be received by 28 November 2003 and should include:<br />
* a statement addressing why you are interested in participating;<br />
* a description of a current or previous work/s that articulates your<br />
central preoccupations;<br />
* a set of questions or an area of inquiry that you would like to<br />
investigate while at Time_Place_Space 3;<br />
* support material from previous work, including either 10 slides or images<br />
OR up to 20 minutes of video OR 1 CD ROM; and,<br />
* two referees and their contact details.</p>
