[sydney] BATTLE OF THE YEAR Transport Update & Afterparty

::: need to work out how you're getting to Battle of the Year this year? the lovely Kim Rockstar has prepared the lowdown..

---
Hi All
Here is the latest update re travel to and from BOTY AUST from the Citirail
people...
GETTING TO THE VENUE
Trains leave Central every 15 minutes in the afternoon to Homebush Bay. It
takes 32 minutes on the direct train. Cost is $3.40 Adult return off peak.
Coming from the other direction, you can get to Homebush Bay via
Strathfield or Lidcombe stations.

GETTING HOME
The last train out of Homebush Bay Station is 1.21am and it heads back to
Strathfield. The last train to Central running non stop is 11.59pm. There
is another running direct to Central at 11.25pm. There is also a train
running to Strathfield at 11.32pm.

For more info goto www.citirail.nsw.gov.au for train timetables online, or
call the phoneline 131500.

Parking at the venue will cost a maximum charge of $10 per car. Multiplying
out the cost of train tickets across a crew, it may work out cheaper for
some, but more expensive than the train for others.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GET TO AND FROM THE VENUE SAFELY AND LEAVE OLYMPIC
PARK QUICKLEY AT THE END OF THE EVENT. OUR BEHAVIOUR AS A WHOLE WILL EFFECT
OUR ABILITY TO HOLD THE EVENT IN THE FUTURE. DAMAGE TO THE PARK ESPECIALLY
TAGGING WILL THREATEN THE STAGING OF THE 2004 EVENT.

OFFICIAL AFTERPARTY
Also in planning the end of the night, if you are over 18, there is an
afterparty from 12am at VEDA, 129 Pitt St in the city. BOTY AUST will have
its own room and DJ lineup. Over 18 competitors will be on a doorlist.
Dresscodes will be BOTY friendly for anyone coming from the event (eg.
runners, cargo pants, tracksuits etc will be OK as long as they are clean).
More info on this to be announced by Veda and through the website soon.
