Mez has been writing mezangelle / code poetry / netwurks on mail lists and the web since the 1990s. Trauma Wien Art Club has released a new book of Mez' mezangelles from 2003-2011 called "human readable messages - mezangelle 2003-2011" The book will be available at the Trauma Wien site, and also be on amazon in January 2012 (technically December 31st, but with the time difference in Australia, check in January) For those who can't wait (like me), it's also available from Lulu. There's a preview of the book on the Lulu page, including the table of contents. There are mezangelles with titles such as, "_Sub.Mission[s]_", "_Squashed Tele.biology_", "_Dream Fullscreen_" and many more.

Solar Circuit Aotearoa New Zealand (SCANZ) is the interCreate Research Centre's major project, a two week residency for artists, producers, writers, theorists and curators will be held in New Plymouth New Zealand from January 26th to February 8th 2009. Project partners are the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery and Puke Ariki integrated library and museum.

(H)earat Shulaym (Note in the Margin) is an Independent Journal of Contemporary Art and Literature published by the group of artists Sala-Manca. The purpose of the magazine is to temporaly shift the gaze of the "reader" from the dominant culture, which, for the group members is mostly a marginal culture. The aim is to expose works from artists from different fields that were conceptualized far from main existing trends. This magazine is published without advertisments and without any official support.
The aim of (H)Earat Shulaym ‚Äì Journal for Contemporary Art and Heara (comment) events (multidisciplinary events for contemporary art) is to meet new trends on art, artists and public, through the creation of new ways of art exhibition and creation from those that the artistic mainstream institutions propose. The development of this independent work in Jerusalem is a step of the process of deconstructing the centralist Israeli Art map and in the creation of new centers that are independent from the traditional art centers and institutions. In these two projects more than 160 artists took part and more than 230 art works were shown and published.
The second edition of the Streaming Festival ended on the 28th of October 2007.
The festival broadcasted four programs; documentary, fiction, animation and art plus three special programs.
Composed by the KAN festival was a special program presenting a select number of films including films from Agnieszka Smoczynska, Anna Maszczynska and Anna Pankiewicz.
Finding my old bookmark files has made me nostalgic for the early computing days when everything was new and exciting and full of possibilities. One of my favourite magazines back in the early 90s was Mondo 2000. It was hard to get - only a few places in Brisbane stocked it, actually only two that I recall and even then it was occasional. By the time I got round to subscribing to the magazine it had finished being published and I lost my subscription renewal to the cause so to speak. At the time, it was cutting edge and the full gloss images and interviews with leading thinkers made it a great read. R.U.
